Why We Love Seaspray & Bayview
Summer is fast approaching. It’s great to see it coming with the longer days, better weather and COVID restrictions lifting. Many of us have already spent a weekend (or two or three) at the holiday parks but staying down over the summer months feels different, almost more freeing.
That’s especially true this year, considering how much we’ve all missed the holiday parks. So, let’s take the opportunity to explore why we love them so much. Next on our list is Seaspray and Bayview.
Holiday Parks and Recreation
Both these holiday parks are centrally located in the seaside village of Rossnowlagh, Donegal. However, they both offer very different holiday experiences.
First up, if you are seeking somewhere to enjoy a family-friendly holiday again and again, then Seaspray is for you. This holiday park has been known to help forge friendships that last a lifetime. Each summer mini-adventures are undertaken by kids as they explore and play on the park. It is a safe place where neighbours, adults, and children alike, get to know each other, even beyond the park.
Bayview is a smaller, more private holiday park. It only holds only 24-holiday homes. This exclusive setting is perfect for many who wish to retreat to a quiet, relaxing home from home by the sea. It is a great place to disconnect.
A Short Walk Away
Of course, there is plenty to enjoy in Rossnowlagh itself. Situated close to both parks is Tickety Moo. Their fantastic selection of ice-cream flavours and sweet treats have proven to be a firm favourite of our residents. You really can’t visit Rossnowlagh without stopping for some ice cream.
Mmm, Mint Chocolate Chip…. Sorry, where were we?
After your stop at Tickety Moo, the main beach is only a short walk. Rossnowlagh beach is ideal for bathing with its blue flag status and lifeguards on duty during the summer months. You really could spend all day splashing in the water, building sandcastles, or taking in the sun.
However, if you want a little more adventure from your day on the beach, Rossnowlagh is famous for its surfing. Plus, two vibrant surf schools operate from the main beach – ‘Rossnowlagh Surf School’ and ‘Finn McCool Surf School’. Both catering from beginner to advanced. Why not try it out?
Food for the Soul
For good food, Rossnowlagh has two great options, located close to each other. Firstly, Smugglers Creek Inn rests on the cliffs overlooking Donegal Bay providing panoramic views of the wild Atlantic. You’ll be greeted with a warm welcome and served great tasting food made from fresh Irish produce.
With each visit to the Gaslight Inn, you will find traditional Donegal hospitality and superb local fresh food cooked to order. And as you enjoy your meal, you’ll also be treated to panoramic views of Donegal Bay.
Beyond the village itself, Ballyshannon, Bundoran and Donegal Town are all a short drive away, offering more food and shopping options.
Last But Not Least
If that isn’t enough for you, Seaspray is a fully serviced park with laundry facilities as well as a kid’s playground on-site. These facilities are also available for all Bayview residents to use as well. Both holiday parks are also open all year round to residents.
It doesn’t matter if Bayview or Seaspray is more appealing to you, if you are seeking a relaxing seaside getaway then either Rossnowlagh holiday park is the place to be.
Embrace the joys of the open water with a leisurely row across Lough Erne or surf the waves in Bundoran. Northern View Holiday Parks are the perfect base for any water sports enthusiast.
It sounds almost too good to be true. But a home from home by the sea, uniquely situated in the sand dunes of Rossnowlagh, cut off from the rest of the world is exactly what Manor House delivers.
